Hello everyone, I’m delighted you made the first step on a new path of discovering your peace. I’m Ms. Sonam Meena and I’ve earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Delhi.  As a member of this field for so many years, I observed that we invest a lot in the tools we need for our life in the context of our relationships with others, or for our careers. We interact, study, and seek training, making ourselves as perfect or good as possible. But the one thing that truly deserves our investment in our mind. We neglect our minds so much. We put them under pressure, use them constantly, and keep them up all night. Our mind has to be tended to in order to function. The right amount of sleep. Exercise. Therapy. Moments to shut off and be still. Nutrition and medication, where needed. When times get tough, it’s important to check in with your mental health. And give it the attention it deserves.

 

 I believe that asking for help is always a good idea, as I think we all have once in our life thought of giving up or felt like I just can’t do it. For this, there is no rational explanation. But at these moments, our internal dialogue cannot always be trusted so asking for help and relying on others for empathy and encouragement is not a bad idea. So when things feel like they’re becoming unmanageable getting professional help can help you reconnect with yourself in difficult situations. My motive is to provide sessions where people can act exactly how they’re feeling. Because then only they will be able to contemplate what they want or what they don’t want for themselves instead of acting the way others want them to feel. I use multiple therapeutic techniques to cope with my client’s fears and anxiety and use various scientific methods through which they can understand their and other people’s behaviors around them which leads them to open themselves to different ways of thinking. By creating a culture of empathy I think the more we can all understand each other, the better our work will be. And bit by bit, we might well make this world a better place, for every person, in every place.
